Business Cards

Making a great first impression isn’t rocket science, but making a lasting impression is a different story. The days of rolodex filing have become archaic (kudos to those of you still keeping them alive) – so make sure your business card readily snuggles up with wallets, purses, desks, and cork boards. We offer super-thick16 pt. business cards with lots of finish options, like matte to glossy coating, rounded corners, and super-cool alternatives like Spot UV and Foil (AkuaFoil). For those on a budget, our standard 14 pt. business cards hold their own with the best of ‘em and have all the same finishing/coating options. Order now, and we’ll help you to give your cards a cozy home in the pocket of your potential and existing clientele.

Looking for sizes or shapes you don't see here? We have lots of options not yet listed. Skinny cards, oval cards and more! Call for info 512-430-1223

Artwork you submit needs to be in a specific format and resolution for us to move forward with printing your files, however, we understand that understanding how the different artwork is submitted, what the difference between "resolution" and "image size" are, and all that other crazy graphic designer and printer terms that really just don't make much sense to us normal folks - We've created this form for you to just submit your artwork to us and we'll look it over and make sure it's ready for printing!

1. What type of files can I send to Capital City Printing?
We recommend saving as a .PDF You may also send the file in the following types: jpg, jpeg, psd, tif, tiff, eps, ai, and png

We prefer that you send .PDF and .EPS files with outlined fonts. These files are easier to handle and will likely speed up your turn-around. Remember to add crop marks and flatten your files before uploading.

2. What color mode should my files be?
If you send us an RGB file, there is a chance that a color shift may occur and you may not be satisfied with your job. Always send CMYK Files.

3. What resolution should my file be?
Low resolution files may be printed as is or will be placed on hold until we receive new files, slowing your turn-around. Always use 300DPI when sending files for best print results. WEB IMAGES WILL NOT WORK.

4. How should I set up my bleed and crop marks?
Bleed must extend past the cut-line and will be trimmed from the product during the final cutting phase. When the image is required to extend all the way to the edge, bleed is needed to preserve the finished look and the quality of the final product. Please keep all text at least 0.125" inside the cut-line.

- The bleed for Standard Products is 0.125". - The bleed for Booklets and Presentation Folders is 0.25". - If you need a template please tell a representative and we will send one right away.

5. Can I submit a front and back in the same file?
No. We are now specifically set up to process one side at a time, and this requires that each side of a job must be on a separate file. Not separating files will cause delays and you might have to send the files again. Remember to separate the pages of your .pdf files as well.
